Just one month ahead of the device’s rumored presentation on September 12, the iPhone 5 has already appeared in the company’s server logs.
TechCrunch reports that iPhone 5,2 is the name of the prototype discovered in the logs.
The iPhone 4S is called iPhone 4,1 in the firmware for iOS, so the iPhone 5,2 is without doubt the next version of this device.
The presence of the iPhone 5,2 in one server means that Apple has begun testing the device.
Other Apple rumors say that the company is having problems producing enough components for the iPhone 5, but preps for the launch are still underway.
Apple partners cannot produce enough screen displays using in-cell technology but Apple doesn’t want to delay the launch of the device.
