iPhone 5 scratching is “normal” for any aluminum product, Phil Schiller says

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing recently addressed the issue regarding the new iPhone’s scratching.

iPhone 5 users have recently complained about the fact that their new device seems to be prone to getting easily scratched.

A 9to5Mac reader has sent an email to Apple’s marketing chief to complain about the issue.

Schiller’s response was that such scratching is “normal” with use for aluminum products.

“Any aluminum product may scratch or chip with use, exposing its natural silver color. That is normal.”
