iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S camera jewelry photography

Photos taken with the two devices are analyzed in parallel.

The macro photography capabilities of the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 are compared in several shots taken by Lex from Modahaus, Cult of Mac reports.

Although the differences are small, the site notes that they do bring an improvement to the quality of the photography.

In the ruby and amethyst rings picture, the photo taken with the iPhone 5 reveals deeper, richer colors in the gemstones.

In addition, in the iPhone 5 image, the diamonds around the gems seem to have more of what the Cult of Mac author calls a “glint.”
