iPhone 5 will have bigger four-inch screen, in spite of Steve Jobs’ wishes

The rumoured changes to the next iPhone go against Steve Jobs’ vision.

According to iLounge, the iPhone 5 will feature a bigger 4 inch screen and will be a full 8mm longer, with possibly an aluminum metal casing.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Jobs was said to be unhappy with altering the smartphone’s screen size because it “fragmented” iPhones.

The former Apple CEO is said to have wanted to ensure that all iPhone devices appeared the same, so increasing the size of a new Apple device screen would have generated fragmentation in experience levels for users.

iLounge writes that sources within Apple say that Jobs’ refusal to upgrade to a bigger screen will be the first the company will take off their list.

In the meantime, see here how Samsung takes its on-going battle with Apple beyond the courtroom.
