In a recent interview, Stéphane Richard, CEO of France Telecom, said that the next iPhone won’t be compatible with 4G LTE networks that will be launched in Europe this year and in 2013.

Richard fears that the iPhone 5 won’t offer 4G support as American networks don’t use the same frequencies as the French ones.

The video below presents a part of the interview in which Stéphane Richard explained that the integration of a chip compatible with French 4G networks is not a priority for Apple.

He also mentioned his recent meeting with Tim Cook in which he told the Apple CEO that French consumers were waiting for an iPhone that is compatible with European 4G networks but is still quite skeptical regarding the iPhone 5.
