iPhone: 5 years of innovation

It’s been five years since the iPhone arrived on the market and has significantly changed the situation in the mobile world.

5 years ago, Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone in one of his most epic Keynotes.

“This is a day I’ve been looking forward to for two and a half years,” Jobs said in January 2007.

“An iPod, a phone, an internet mobile communicator,” he said as he prepared to introduce the iPhone. “An iPod, a phone, an internet mobile communicator…. These are not three separate devices! This is one device. And we are calling it iPhone. Today Apple is going to reinvent the phone. Here it is.”

After that, each new generation of iPhone became more successful than its predecessor and Apple competitors started to offer the Multi-Touch in their own version.

With the iPhone, Apple has completely redefined the smartphone market and initiated a revolution in the world of telephony whose effects are still visible today.

It’s not for nothing that this revolutionary device has won nearly 100 million users worldwide, thanks to its design but also its cutting-edge embedded technology.

Since 2007, each new version is the subject of much attention. Launched last October, the iPhone 4S collected one million pre-orders the day after its presentation.
