Apple is reportedly working on its next-generation TV and plans to release it in the winter.

In a research note to clients, Jeffries & Co. analyst Peter Misek said that the rumored iTV is currently in “full production.”

The analyst writes that Apple wants to partner with carriers like AT&T and Verizon for the “premium Apple television” and offer a set-top box option for cable providers such as Comcast.

Misek also said that that recent data out of Sharp, Hon Hai, and other specialty chemical and TV component suppliers back up his claims.

In addition, he believes that JDSU’s recent acquisition of a new non-gaming customer for its gesture control modules could be an indicator of a possible partnership with Apple for the product.

A recent Wall Street Journal report stated that Cupertino is in negotiations with cable TV operators over offering an Apple TV as a set-top-box for their customers.
