Tim Cook announced in early December that Mac models will be built in U.S. plants starting next year.

According to a new rumor, it could be the Mac mini.

The Cupertino company may have chosen the Mac mini to inaugurate its first factory on U.S. soil.

According to Digitimes, Foxconn is soon to take charge of the production of the Mac mini in the United States.

Apple will invest more than $ 100 million in the establishment of a production line in the USA.

Mac mini sales are expected to reach 1.4 million units by 2012, or 40% more than in 2011.

Analysts expect a growth of 30% for the Mac mini in 2013, with 1.8 million copies sold.
