Microsoft rumored to be working on Office for iOS

Despite denials, Microsoft may actually be working hard on its Office version for iOS.

According to French blog Mac4Ever, via MacRumors, Microsoft’s French support site includes references to “Excel for iPad,” “PowerPoint for iPad,” and “Office Mobile for iPhone.”

Recently, The Verge reported that Microsoft employees claimed that an Office Mobile application for the iOS platform would launch in February or March of next year.

A version for Android would follow in May.

The iOS app will be available for free in the App Store but it will require a Microsoft account.

Office 2013 will be officially launched during the first quarter.
