The company is reportedly planning to start selling its Surface RT devices through non-Microsoft retail stores.
According to Paul Thurrott at Windows IT Pro, an unnamed Microsoft source claims the company is planning to bring the Surface tablet to additional retail outlet.
The report states the initiative is going to happen “within days.”
Microsoft currently sells the device through its 32 brick-and-mortar stores scattered throughout the United States and Canada, and online.
In addition, Thurrott’s sources claim that the device is “actually selling very well” and that “Surface sales represent one of the few bright spots in what is becoming an increasingly dire late-2012 launch season.”
