Microsoft Windows 8 successor rumored details leak online

Microsoft is already working on what is known to be the successor to Windows 8.

According to a PCBeta forum user who posts under the pseudonym “maxy,” the new version of the operating system, codenamed “Windows Blue” or “Windows 9 Dev,” will refine the experience of tile-based interface, while providing various modifications.

According to the insider, the user can resize the Windows Blue tiles at his pleasure, as Windows Phone 8.

Microsoft will retain the traditional Windows desktop, but will smooth this interface by removing the gloss.

A new kernel, numbered 6.3, will refine and improve the performance of the OS.

One of the great features of Windows Blue will be the pace of annual updates. The first of these versions is expected by mid-2013.
