Nokia Windows Phone 8 to be announced in September, ahead of iPhone 5

If all the rumors prove true, next month will see a series of important device launches.

According to Bloomberg, may announce its first Windows Phone 8 device at Nokia World, which will be held September 5 and 6 in Helsinki, Finland.

The report cites “a person with knowledge of the matter”, who believes the device will go on sale “before the year-end holiday shopping season.”

The launch would come one week ahead Apple’s rumored September 12 event, where the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 5.

Details on what the new Nokia devices will look like are unclear.

The Finnish company has denied a request for comment.
