Redbox and Verizon’s subscription video-on-demand and kiosk rental service could launch by the end of the year.

The two companies have joined forces to launch a video service business called Redbox Instant.

GigaOm’s Janko Roettgers stumbled across a help section that is now password protected.

The support pages reveal the service prices and screenshots of the website and apps.

Apparently, the service is preparing to launch on Dec. 17 of this year and costs just $6 per month for an unlimited subscription.

For an additional $2 a month, users can get four physical product rentals from the kiosks.

Redbox Instant is meant to face competition from Netflix’s Instant Streaming and Amazon’s Video on Demand internet streaming business.
