According to reports, Google’s next flagship device could be 4G LTE.

Rumor has it that AT&T is planning to release an LTE edition and is currently in the final stages.

According to Andro Rev, who cites a source claiming to be working “very close to the situation,” the company is testing Samsung Galaxy Nexus devices that use standard size LTE SIM cards, not micro-SIM like the ones featured on the iPhone 4S, to run in its 4G LTE network.

Given the stage of testing, this could mean that the 4G LTE version could be available within the next month.

In addition, this rumor has sparked speculation that the carrier could also be testing 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy S III phones since the device is expected to be released this summer.

Samsung and AT&T have yet to make an announcement on the subject.
