Samsung Galaxy S III photo leaked in media invite, launch date May 22nd?

A new rumor is making the rounds on the net, suggesting the Galaxy S III could be unveiled on May 22.

According to latest reports, journalists have received an invitation from Samsung to attend what appears to be the announcement of the brand’s latest smartphone in London on May 22.

The invite shows us a half of a new, aerodynamic Galaxy S III, with a sleek metal casing that bends toward the bottom.

The picture also reveals an exposed chrome finish around the edges and what seems to be a small slot on the side of the handset.

As for the release date, May 22nd seems a likely possibility given that there has been speculation surrounding this date in the past.

The image found on the Korean website Daum by the guys at Phandroid.

Rumored specs of the Samsung Galaxy S III include a quad-core 1.5 Exynos processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, a 12 MP camera with LED flash and and 4G LTE support.
