Apple introduced several new features for Siri that will be available only in some car models that will hit the market in 2012.

GM, Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Honda, and Toyotawill be collaborating with Apple on the implementation of a new function called Eyes Free that works with a button mounted on the steering wheel.

By pressing this button, drivers will be able to interact with Siri without taking their eyes off the road with a view to creating safer driving conditions.

The function will be complete by the new Maps app that Apple introduced at the WWDC, which includes a 3D mapping feature and real-time traffic, as well as by the turn-by-turn navigation system.

In addition, 15 new languages have been added to Siri on the new version of the iOS.
