Starting with August information appeared about the console based phone PSP Phone developed by Sony.

Today, the Sony Ericsson PSP Phone prototype made its first appearance in several unofficial, but 100% accurate pictures.

Specifications do not differ much as Sony PSP Phone will be based on the platform Android 3.0 (Gingerbread), which is motorized by a Qualcomm MSM8655 processor clocked at 1 GHz and helped by a memory of 512 MB RAM. And the rest of the equipment will be specific to smartphones.

Support for applications will be provided by the virtual shop Sony Marketplace.

More details are expected together with the official announcement which will appear by November. Sony PSP Phone will probably hit the market in the first half of 2011.
