In early January, PSM3 magazine speculated on both the PSP2 and the possible future PlayStation Phone. Now, as Sony is set to introduce the new PlayStation Portable game console this week, pictures and rumors are multiplying about it on the net.
The most important news about the PSP2 would be that it incorporates a high definition OLED display touchscreen, reports the Japanese site Nikkei. Judging by the latest images revealed on the Web by he site Kotaku, Sony’s console is also equipped with a 32 GB SD memory card, a memory stick, a stylus and a sliding cover, much like the PSP Go.
In addition, the availability of 3G connectivity in this console will facilitate the download of multimedia content by players and online play. Moreover, the future PSP2 would be endowed with two analog nubs, looking like the PS3 controllers.
Sony is holding a press conference Thursday, January 27 in Japan, during which the company will introduce a new generation of PlayStation Portable consoles.
