Apple has revealed the prices for the unlocked versions of the smartphone on its website.
The company announced that it will offer unlocked iPhone 5s in the U.S. and Canada, with prices similar to the cost of unlocked iPhone 4S’s.
According to TechCrunch, the prices listed are the following: $ 649 for the 16 GB version, $ 749 for the 32 GB version and $ 849 for the 64GB model, with costs in Canada going $ 50 higher for each model.
Pre-orders for the unlocked versions begin Sept. 14 and they will be shipped in October.
The unlocked devices will be available for purchase only in Canada.
However, according to Apple Store representatives cited by The Verge, the unlocked iPhones won’t be available for purchase in the US on the September 21 launch and they aren’t likely to be for several weeks.
Update: Apple has taken down the prices for the unlocked models but TechCrunch has managed to capture a screenshot of the costs.
