The three carriers have confirmed their plans to provide FaceTime over cellular support in iOS 6.
“[C]ustomers wanting to use FaceTime on their iPhone 5 can do so using any Verizon Wireless data plan allowance,” Verizon said in a recent press release.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a Verizon spokesperson said that customers with unlimited data plans will also be able to use FaceTime over cellular without extra fees.
In addition, Sprint announced in July that it won’t place limits on FaceTime over cellular.
However, last month AT&T confirmed that customers who want to use FaceTime over cellular in the iPhone 5 will have to switch to a Mobile Share plan.
FaceTime was previously limited to Wi-Fi use, but it will be available with the iOS 6 on September 19 for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPad 3.
Pre-orders for the new iPhone will begin on Sept. 14 at midnight.
