The singer and fashion mogul has finally admitted she is expecting.

“It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy!” she Tweeted Monday, posting a photo of herself dressed up for Halloween and holding her baby bump.

The confirmation comes after weeks of speculation that Simpson, who is engaged to former NFL athlete Eric Johnson, is expecting.

Various photos that appeared in the press showed Jessica trying to hide a burgeoning baby bump.

Last year, Simpson revealed she didn’t dislike the idea of having Johnson’s babies.

“I definitely see myself having a family with him, so that’s exciting to think about,” she told Access Hollywood Live last November.

Simpson, dressed in a tight black Lycra T-shirt, showed a burgeoning baby bump upon her arrival at JFK from LAX on Monday.

In addition, the 31-year-old singer stepped out in New York wearing a giant poncho and protectively cradling her bloated stomach.

Simpson is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, 32.

Rumors that Jessica and Eric are expecting have been circulating since July.

Reports now claim that the singer is trying to score a deal with the help of her father/manager, Joe Simpson.

The Simpsons are said to be asking up to $500,000 to close the deal.

In addition, OK! magazine posted a photo of Jessica on its cover along with the title, “Yes, I’m Having A Baby.”

Jessica has raised speculation in September when she refused to drink alcohol at her fiancé’s birthday party.

Since then she has been photographed wearing loose clothing that could easily hide her rounded belly.

A source close to Jessica’s fiancé Eric Johnson told Radar Online: “It’s still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans. But she has begun telling family and friends the exciting news.”

Jessica and Eric will get married this year, and while her billion dollar brand is being closely guarded, Eric’s future looks profitable whether he’s staying married or not.

According to sources, Johnson’s compensation in case they get divorced works out quite well for him.

“Eric is on what you might call a vesting plan,” an insider says.

“He’ll get $500,000 as a wedding present. Then, each anniversary, he’ll get another $200,000. If he and Jessica make it to five years, he’ll get an additional incentive $500,000 bonus – and a $1 million bonus if they make it to 10 years.”
