Charlize Theron and Orlando Bloom were designated ambassadors by Japanese brand Uniqlo

Thanks to a contract signed for a year, Charlize Theron and Orlando Bloom will appear in advertising campaigns of Uniqlo which will be broadcast worldwide.

The two actors will promote the new clothing lines of the Japanese manufacturer whose stated goal is to produce clothes for everyone, regardless of nationality, age, occupation or sexual orientation.

The first spot of the campaign will run for the first time this autumn. Japanese brand Uniqlo entered the U.S. market with a store opening in 2006, in the Soho district of New York.

The Japanese manufacturer’s first advertising campaign on American soil was promoted by actress Chloe Sevigny and Kim Gordon, singer of alternative rock band Sonic Youth.

Yahoo has a $85 million advertising campaign against Google

In the new campaign “It’s You”, the giant attacks the search engine Google, linking the “emptiness of the homepage” and that has nothing to motivate a user to remain on the page.

Rumors say that Yahoo follows the model of Facebook, which had a fantastic success in the world of social networking sites, through its international campaigns they had last year.

Therefore, we will have to wait and see what effects will have this campaign and if Google will respond to this “indirect attack”.
