Oksana Grigorieva fired her two criminal defense lawyers

Oksana Grigorieva is fighting to convince the judge to determine Mel Gibson to pay much more than $5000 for her monthly child support. She wants more than $40,000.

But before convincing the judge she must defend herself from a criminal investigation. More precisely – extortion accusations from Mel Gibson’s lawyers.

However, she fired yesterday her two criminal defense lawyers: Mary Fulginiti and James Spertus. Some sources say the breakup was “ugly”.

Fulginiti and Spertus were handling, among other things, the Sheriff’s Department investigation into Mel’s claim that Oksana tried to extort him.

We might suspect that this breakup has something to do with her recent visit to Sorrell Trope, one of the most prominent family law attorneys in Los Angeles.

In the past, Trope’s firm has represented the likes of Brooke Mueller, Victoria Hopper, Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears.

Who knows, maybe she fired Fulginiti and Spertus because she had too many lawyers and too many bills to pay … Or maybe Sorrell Trope promised her he can deal the criminal investigation by himself …

Oksana Grigorieva hits cavalry – top family law attorney

Oksana Grigorieva met for two hours with Sorrell Trope – considered one of the toughest family law attorney in the divorce bid.

In the past, Trope’s firm has represented the likes of Brooke Mueller, Victoria Hopper, Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears.

Oksana Grigorieva is fighting to convince the judge to determine Mel Gibson to pay much more than $5000 for her monthly child support. She wants more than $40,000.

So far she hasn’t been able to obtain more money from Mel Gibson due to a settlement agreement she signed back in May – a settlement she is now trying to disavow.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was transported to the hospital unconscious

Gabor, 93, was in “a great deal of pain” Tuesday morning and her husband, Frederick Prinz von Anhalt, found her to be “not responsive,” her spokesman, John Blanchette, told Reuters.

“She’s still in the emergency room, but the doctors stabilized her. She was in a great deal of pain this morning with her hip, then she went quiet and unresponsive,” spokesman John Blanchette told the Daily News. “Frederic called 911 and brought her to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center with a Fire Department escort. So she’s been in the ER since then. They have stabilized her but want to do more tests.”

“It’s been very tough,” Blanchette added. “Frederic collapsed from exhaustion recently. He’s only getting four or five hours of sleep each night caring for her.”

“Frederick said he did not want to torture her anymore,” publicist John Blanchette said, adding that the star was “in and out of consciousness.”

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was hospitalized several times in recent months due to complications following an operation to replace a hip joint. In mid August, she refused a new surgery and asked to be transported to her residence in the luxurious Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband, Frederic von Anhalt.

Frederic von Anhalt made headlines several years ago when he claimed the paternity of starlet Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, just days after actress’ death.

No money for Anna Nicole Smith’s heir

It also seems that after a 15-year battle over the estimated $1.6 billion fortune left by Texan J. Howard Marshall, the law sided with his late son, Pierce.

In consequence, Smith’s only surviving heir, her 3-year-old daughter Danielyn, will get nothing, lawyers for Marshall said.

“It is an instruction that the case is over, and that E. Pierce Marshall’s estate wins. Hopefully, this will be the end of it,” Eric Brunstad, who represented the Marshall estate, told Reuters.

Anna Nicole married oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994 when she was a 26-year-old topless dancer in Houston and he was 89.

Marshall died a little over a year later, triggering a bitter battle over his fortune between the former Playboy model and his son, Pierce, who died in 2006.

Smith died of a drug overdose in 2007 and was survived by Danielyn, who was fathered by photographer Larry Birkhead.
