British actor, who has four biological children and one stepchild in real life, was ranked No. 1 in a top made by LoveFilm.com, for the role of Graham Simpkins, a single father who raise two young daughters, in the romantic comedy “The Holiday”.
Will Smith ranked second in the top, for his role in the drama “The Pursuit of Happyness”, in which he starred alongside his real son Jaden Smith.
Strangely, on the top’s third position stood Darth Vader, the villain of the “Star Wars”, Luke Skywalker’s father, while George Clooney, who in real life has no children, ranked fourth, for the role in “One Fine Day”
Helen Cowley, editor of LoveFilm, said: “While he may have a reputation for being a ladies’ man, Jude Law has proven he is a good father both on and off the screen and he sets pulses racing as the hottest film father we’ve ever seen. We were slightly surprised to see Lovefilm members vote Darth so highly on this list but clearly the dark side works for him.”
In fifth position was the irish Liam Neeson, for his role in “Taken” (2008), followed by Gregory Peck, with his character, Atticus Finch in “To Kill A Mocking Bird” (1962) – the oldest movie in this top.
Sean Connery came in seventh position, for the role of the father of Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and in the eighth position was Bruce Willis with the role in Armageddon.
Top Ten Sexiest Dads On The Screen is filled by Bob “Mr. Incredible” Parr in the animation “The Incredibles” (2004) and Patrick Dempsey, for the role in “Enchanted”.
