After Duchess Kate’s longtime personal assistant completed her service this spring, the royal has now found a replacement.
The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, has been looking for a suitable successor to Rebecca Deacon for months. Now we finally know the name of Kate’s new personal secretary: Catherine Quinn.
Her new assistant has an excellent curriculum: she has worked at Oxford University as Chief Operating Officer and Associate Dean at Saïd Business School, one of the departments at the prestigious English university.
She also had leading positions at Middle Temple and The Welcome Trust. In addition, she is a member of the Boards of The Charity Commission for England and Wales, The Met Office, The Royal British Legion and The National Memorial Arboretum.
In her new role, Quinn will have to organize the Duchess’s agenda of official engagements but also ensure that she is informed about her interlocutors. At public events, Quinn will have to be within walking distance of Kate and will handle all the gifts, flowers and cards that she receives from the public.
Catherine is believed to be seeking a more serious role as a royal patron and supporter of charitable organizations.
