Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Isabelle Adjani offended by an Iranian newspaper

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy joined an international campaign that aims to save Sakineh-Ashtiani Mohammadi, an Iranian woman aged 43 years, mother of two children, sentenced to death.

Mohammadi-Ashtiani Sakineh is accused of cheating her husband and for attempting to kill him – risking the death penalty for the “crimes” she committed – and could be killed with stones in a public market.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy – the third wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy – has signed an international petition along with other VIPs, demanding the release of Mohammadi-Ashtiani Sakineh.

Last week the former supermodel said: “I just can’t see what good could come out of this macabre ceremony, whatever the judicial reasons put forward to justify it.”

Addressing Sakineh directly in an open letter, Ms Bruni-Sarkozy wrote: “Why shed your blood and deprive your children of their mother? Because you have lived, because you have loved, because you’re a woman, and because you’re an Iranian? Everything within me refuses to accept this.”

But Kayhan (which means ‘Universe’ in English), the Iranian daily newspaper which acts as a mouthpiece for the country’s ultra conservative Islamic regime, has now accused 42-year-old Ms Bruni-Sarkozy of being a hypocrite.

Entitled “French prostitutes join the human rights protest,” the article singles out Ms Bruni-Sarkozy and Isabelle Adjani, the French actress and friend of the First Lady who is also calling for Sakineh’s release.

Kayhan claims it supports the “ideology of the Islamic Revolution” but it’s controlled by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The Iranian state television also violently attacked Carla Bruni-Sarkozy for supporting Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, saying the first lady of France is using this to try to justify her own immorality.

Elysee Palace had no official reaction to these attacks from the Iranian media, but a close friend of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy said that she is “deeply shocked” by the media attack.

Sunday, a woman wearing makeup and dressed like women sentenced to death in Iran, participated in a protest held in Paris, during which demonstrators demanded the release of Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani.

Brigitte Bardot says that Carla Bruni is so uneducated

All began with the gift sent by Bardot to Sarkozy’s wife, a bag that is part of an exclusive collection specially made by the fashion Lancel.

Brigitte Bardot declared: “Carla Bruni is so uneducated, as she is beautiful, as demonstrated by the fact that she thanked me not for the gift I sent her,” said Bardot.

Until the incident with the bag, Brigitte Bardot, a fierce defender of animals, used to appreciate the fact that Carla Bruni has never worn leather garments, even when she was a model.

According to sources close to Bardot, the actress was also angry by the fact that Sarkozy has not heeded her request to ban bull fighting in France.

Carla Bruni, a woman

This is how the French President Nicolas Sarkozy wife is described in the book “Queen Carla”, signed by Patrick Weber, according 7sur7.be.

In view of the Belgian writer, Carla Bruni (40 years) changes her character more often than shirts, a hinted at being a mannequin, singer and now wife of head of state.

“Carla is increasingly rejected by Italians and doesn’t seems to be accepted even by the French. The role of first-lady does not suit, notes the author.

Carla Bruni began her career as a model at the age of 19, being listed among the best models in the world. In 1997, Carl left the podium and dedicated to music. Her debut album – “Quelqu’un m’a dit” – was launched in 2002, being sold over one million copies.

Not infrequently, her loving relationship with the famous Eric Clapton, Donald Trump, Kevin Costner and Mick Jagger were a subject in the tabloids. She met Nicolas Sarkozy in November 2007, shortly after Sarkozy’s divorce of second wife, Cecilia. Carla and Nicolas have put wedding rings on February 2, 2008.
