Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher to tie the knot

“They’ve got tents everywhere. Security was so tight this morning,” said Carey Williams, editor of the local Herald Journal.

“Security has kicked all guests out and now you need an armband on at all times to be on the premises.”

According to recent reports the couple rented more than 250 rooms for guests such as Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Chris Neil and Chris Phillips.

“This event has been a blessing to this county,” Williams says. “It’s unbelievable. It’s just unreal. The people are thrilled here.”

Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul will be judging together again?

Recent rumors say that after moving to America on “the X Factor” show, Simon Cowell would like to judge next to his former colleague, Paula Abdul.
It seems that Cowell wants to launch in U.S. the version of the U.K. TV talent show for the price of $160 million after he gives up “American Idol”.
Moreover, Cowell seems to had had some serious discussions with Paula and it’s possible to see them judging together again.
“I’ve gone on record, I adore Paula. Whatever happens, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her. You’re just going to have to watch this space”, said Simon Cowell to reporters.

Is American Idol history?

Looking back into the past we saw that American Idol was unstoppable in ratings, thing that is not available for present time.
Taking into consideration that Paula Abdul is gone from the show and that Cowell might be the next one, the ratings have declined. Moreover, many fans did not appreciate the coming on the show of the fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi and also by the announcement that Ellen DeGeneres will take Abdula’s place. There is one question to answer : will American Idol be history?

According to TV critic Maureen Ryan : “Every show has a life cycle. “I think [‘Idol’] has reached that point in its maturity where it’s not necessarily guaranteed to end up on the top of the ratings heap every single night, every single week, every single year. I think it will certainly be high up there, but I don’t think it will be as huge a phenomenon as it has been.”
Consequently, the only thing that remains is to watch a new season of American Idol and to decide for ourselves if the show will still have success with the new changes.
