Penelope Cruz is pregnant

It seems that the actress is pregnant in 4 months according to her husband’s statement: “Penelope is 4½-months pregnant”.

Cruz, 36, was spotted with a baby bump on the set of her upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The Spanish actress and Javier Bardem tie the knot this summer and now the newlyweds are expecting their first. Their relations began in 2007.

Both of them are the lucky winners of an Oscar award and are highly appreciated among Hollywood actors.

Penelope Cruz is the new image of Lancome Tresor

The beautiful Penelope Cruz is the new image of cosmetic brand Lancome. The actress made a shooting in collaboration with photographer Mario Testino, for the new ad.

The star wore a classic outfit and shoot on the Crillon Hotel famous balcony. The Tresor perfume was launched in 1990, and its image was promoted also by other stars such as Kate Winslet and Isabella Rosellini.

Cruz got married with Javier Bardem recently and succeeded Julia Roberts after she promoted the brad last spring.

Penelope Cruz doesn’t get along well with her in-laws

It seems that Javier Bardem’s sister, Monica revealed some private details about Penelope for a Spanish magazine.

“Penelope has known Monica for years, but she definitely got off on the wrong foot as a new family member,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“It may seem trite, but privacy is very, very important to Penelope. She told Javier she doesn’t want his family sticking their noses into their business. If this happens again, it could hurt the marriage.”

So the Grand Jury Prize was awarded to the film “Des Hommes et des dieux” directed by Xavier Beauvois, while the Jury Prize went to the movie “L’homme qui CRIE” by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun.

The role from the romantic drama “Copie Conforme” brought to the french actresse Juliette Binoche the award for best female interpretation. The actress joked saying that unlike her character, she believes in love and that one day she will marry.

As expected by the critics, Javier Bardem’s game from the drama “Biutiful” wasn’t left outside. The spanish actor shared the award for the Best Male Performance with the young italian actor Elio Germano, awarded for his role in “La Nostra Vita”.

Javier Bardem’s speech brought tears in the eyes of Penelope Cruz, his life partner: “I share the joy with my friend, my coleague and my love Penelope, whom I owe a lot. I love you!”, said Javier.

The trophy for Best Director went to the creator Mathieu Amalric for “Tournee”, a movie about a girl stripper band. The same movie received the FIPRESCI Prize from the international critics.

Rumors say Penelope Cruz will perform in “Pirates of the Caribbean”

Johnny Depp has already confirmed he will play again the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in this movie, directed by Rob Marshall. Secret of film’s plot is well kept by American producers, who said only that the action of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will revolve around The Eternal Youth Fountain.

No information about the character that Penelope Cruz could perform didn’t been made public, but rumors say that her character is the female equivalent of the one played by Johnny Depp.

The film will be made from a screenplay written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

This role will bring on together Penelope Cruz and Rob Marshall, as their recent musical collaboration from filming “Nine”, which brought the Spanish actress an Oscar nomination in the category “Best Actress”.

Penélope Cruz won the Oscar in the same category in 2008 for her role in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.

Penélope Cruz became famous with her role in the movie “All about my mother” by Pedro Almodovar, launched in 1999.

She was nominated for Oscars in 2006 for her role in “Volver”, also under the signature of Almodovar.

Among the films that she played in are included “Belle Epoque” (1992), “Open your eyes” (1997), “Woman on Top” (2000) and “Do not move” (2004).

Filming for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will be held in Hawaii this summer, and the Disney Studios plans to launch the film on May 20, 2011.

The first three films of the franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean” have generated revenue of over $2.6 billion worldwide.

Did Penelope Cruz engaged to Javier Bardem?

Rumors say, Penelope Cruz, 35 years old, is engaged to Javier Bardem due to the fact that she was wearing a sapphire ring on her left hand.

The actress and her lover, 40 years, rewarded with an Oscar Award, were seen in romantic hypostasis on the island they spend their quality time next to their family.

According to international press, the two are together since 2007, but rarely they were seen in public being affective one to another.

In November 2009, Penelope Cruz avoided to say, in a TV shoe presented by Letterman, if she and Javier are engaged or not.

“I don’t feel good talking about my private life in public. It is sacred to me. It’s my life. I don’t give details about it, because I’m allergic to a such behavior”.

Cruz can be seen on screens in musical “ Nine”, where she performs next to Sophia Loren, Kate Hudson, Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard.

Penelope and Javier are spending their quality time in Fernando de Noronha which is an a archipelago formed from 22 islands, at a few hundreds of kilometers of the Brazilian north-east coast.
